In the heart of the Aller-Leine Valley, where wild animals roam

Hodenhagen
is a small town in the Aller-Leine Valley. It is located in south Lüneburg Heath, between the Aller River and the A7 motorway.

Here you will find the best-known excursion destination in the
Aller-Leine Valley: theSerengeti Park Hodenhagen. The park is home to
1500 free-ranging animals, such as elephants, giraffes and tigers. If you want
to leave your car behind, you can go on safari in the park bus. Apart from the
animals, this leisure park offers visitors a white-water ride, a free-fall
tower and much, much more.

Would
you like to see the Aller-Leine Valley from above? Then take off at Hodenhagen
Airfield
. No matter whether you choose to book a sightseeing flight or a
taster flight with a glider instructor - there is always something going on
here.

Ilexpark Hodenhagen extends over an area of 10
hectares along a small stream, the Kreuzförthbach. This jungle-like park is said to
be one of the largest continuous areas of naturally growing holly (Ilex) in
northern Germany.

De
Brinkhof"
(The Brink Farm) is a 300-year old “Zweiständerhaus” (two-post farmhouse) with a “Treppenspeicher” (outside storage building) and
baking house. The farm complex is located directly on the Aller River. Take a
walk on the Aller dyke and stroll along the idyllic street "Am
Brink".

In
the small Fishing Museum in Hodenhagen interested visitors can find
fishing tackle and accessories spanning a period of over 100 years.
