DIY -Make your own bath salt with honey

Ethereal Bath Additive easily self-made

What could be better than a warm bath on a cold and wet autumn day? With a good book or audio book, a cup of tea and candles, you can relax and give your body and soul a break.

It is particularly good for the skin if natural ingredients are used in the bathwater. We have put together a few simple recipes that are quick to prepare, have a heavenly scent and guarantee a soothing full bath. For your own use or as a gift.

    Honey bathing salt

    • 90g Epsom salt or natural sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
    • 3 drops of essential oil (e.g. orange, vanilla, mint)
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon coconut or almond oil

First, mix the salt, baking soda and turmeric in a bowl. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt the honey and oil over low heat. Then add the liquid mixture to the salt together with the essential oil.

The whole mixture should now be covered and left to stand for a few hours so that the salt can absorb the oils. Then the finished bath salt can already be used or filled into glasses as a gift.

    Simple bath salt

    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 3 drops of essential oils (lavender, tea tree, orange, cinnamon, eucalyptus, rose, etc.)

Mix all the ingredients and leave covered to infuse for a few hours to allow the aromas to develop. If you wish, you can also add a little natural colouring powder, such as beetroot, turmeric or spinach powder)

TIP: Before each bath, add a teaspoon of coconut or almond oil and a teaspoon of honey to the water. This makes the skin especially soft!
